Tips for Finding Clear Cut Solutions for Making Short Films

Filmmaking is a method of creating a short film or even a full movie. Film is a form of art that encompasses individual motion pictures. Films are being produced by recording images from numbers of cameras, or by creating images for animation or special effects. Filmmaking involves script writing, shooting, editing and finally, distributing output to audiences.

There are few stages of filmmaking once you hire film production crew for the project. During script writing, draft ideas are being written, and story is being developed as well. Pre-productions involve shooting where cast and crews are hired, locations are being selected and sets are built. During the story-driven video or movie production phase, all film scenes or raw elements are being recorded. Post-production is a stage where recorded film is being edited; background music or sound is being composed, recorded and performed. Sound effects are designed, and visual effects are digitally added to make the film fully completed. Distribution and exhibition or sales are the final stage where movie or film is released to cinemas. The movie copies are being duplicated for cinema distribution and for DVD, VCD or VHS copies.

Individuals such as director, assistant director, casting director, location manager, production manager, studio executives, director of photography and audiography, art director, production designer, story board artist, sound designer, composer, choreographer, costume designer, make-up artist and the main casts are the people involved in filmmaking.

There are independent filmmakers that also shoot, edit movie, edit sounds and music and finalize everything on a home computer. However, financing, marketing and distribution remain difficult for them. However, the Internet allowed relatively inexpensive distribution of independent films.
